Step 1: Job Offer from Israel

  • Secure a job offer from an Israeli employer.
  • Common sectors: construction, agriculture, IT, medical.

Step 2: Employer Applies for Work Permit

  • Your employer in Israel applies to the Population and Immigration Authority for a work permit on your behalf.
  • Once approved, you’ll receive a work permit confirmation.

Step 3: Medical Test from the Authorized Medical Centre:

·       Once the applicant received a work permit and offer letter from Israeli Employer then he/she needs to arrange all the documents required and then have to go for medical test from the authorized medical centre.

Step 4: Apply for Work Visa at Israel VAC in Sri Lanka.

  • Visit the Israel Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Sri Lanka (Colombo).
  • Submit your visa application form, work permit approval, and other required documents.

Step 5: Interview

  • Attend an interview (Scheduled by the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, India post submission of the documents).

Step 6: Visa Processing

  • The Embassy reviews your application.
  • Standard processing time: 15–20 working days, but may take longer.

Step 7: Receive B/1 Work Visa

  • If approved, you’ll receive your B/1 Work Visa stamped in your passport.
